演讲摘要：

AI is changing the world in many profound ways.  This poses challenges and opportunities for people and our society.  If you are still not working in AI, how can you learn it quickly?  How can we balance research and engineering work in AI? How we can prepare ourselves for the AI in the coming years?  How can we educate our children to grow up in the future AI world?  In this talk, I will attempt to answer these questions.

讲者简介：

凌晓峰，Charles Ling，加拿大工程院院士，加拿大西安大略大学终身教授，杰出研究教授。凌教授的研究主要在于开发计算机和人的智慧。

Charles Ling is a Tenured Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science, and Science Distinguished Research Professor, at University of Western Ontario in Canada.  He is a Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering (加拿大工程院院士).  He obtained his Msc and PhD from University of Pennsylvania.  He is a world-leading researcher in machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, data analytics and applications.  He has published over 160 research papers, many in top-tier journals and international conferences, and is the author (with Prof. Qiang Yang) of the book Crafting Your Research Future (学术研究 ，你的成功之道).
